Do you want to check out trails or road routes you haven't been on?  Do you want to share the fun of riding with
others?  Join us and fellow bike riders on our group rides.  The road rides will be various local rides.  The mountain
bike rides will be out of town rides.

Our Group Rides are "No Drop" Rides!  Which means the group will start the ride together and finish the ride together.
We may get separated on the climbs and the descents, but everyone will regroup at the top of every climb and descent.
We will also have someone direct riders at any crucial turns that must be made.

Although the group rides are "No Drop" rides, each rider is responsible for themselves as far as water and nutrition.
These rides are strenuous and are meant for experienced riders only.  The rides will range from 4 to 6+ hours of
pedaling.  These rides are by no means races; however, we will be riding at a steady pace.  We encourage new riders
to join us.  Please work up to the mileage and join us for some amazing experiences.

Stix & Stones is not responsible for the health and safety of any rider on these group rides.  All riders are responsible
for evaluating roads, trails, and trail features and riding
within their skill set.  By participating in the group rides, each
rider agrees that Stix & Stones is
NOT liable for any injury or loss/damage of property.

If you have any questions, please call or e-mail us anytime.  See you on the rides!

August 14th Sunday:        Northstar At Tahoe
Come ride some of the most exhilarating trails in all of California.  Northstar has trails for everyone, from beginners to
expert riders.  Riding with others often leads to improving your skills beyond your imagination.  Northstar also provides
an opportunity to descend more vertical feet than anywhere is in Northern California.  Some riders can descend more
vertical feet in one day than they can in 2 months of riding.  The repetition of descending the trails more than once also
allows riders to improve their descending skills.  We will depart Walnut Creek at 6am and return around 8pm.

August 21st Sunday:                Soquel Demonstration Forest

September 18th Sunday:        Family Ride from Walnut Creek to Alamo for Ice Cream!!!
Ride time: 2.5 hours estimated.  Distance 5 miles round trip. We will meet at Iron Horse Trail trail  head at S. Main St.
and Rudgear.  The ride will follow the Iron Horse Trail to Loard's Ice Cream shop at the Alamo Plaza in Alamo (at
Danville Blvd. and Stone Valley Road).  We will stop at Loard's for a treat, then ride back.  This ride in intended for
families with children from 2 years and older.  Kids can ride on their own bikes with or without training wheels, pedal
trailers, or kid trailers.  This is a great opportunity for families to ride and learn how to ride on the trails with others.
Sometimes a child can be motivated to ride when they see other children their age riding.  This is a great opportunity
for children to experience how far a bicycle can take them!  Most of the kids will be amazed that they rode 5 miles.
Parents will be responsible for their own children, which includes providing water, food, and necessary funds for any
purchases during the ride.  Parents have the option of having their own car at the Alamo Plaza to drive back, or ride
their bicycles back.
All riders must wear helmets during the entire ride!  E-Mail us to RSVP for this ride as we
would like to know how many families to expect.  We look forward to seeing you there.

More rides to come soon.  Keep checking in with us|!
