Terms of Service

Last updated August 14, 2026

These terms govern your use of the RNewal app and this website (together, the "Service"), operated by RNewal. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.

This is a plain-language draft written to match how RNewal actually works today. It's a starting point, not a substitute for review by a lawyer before public launch.

What RNewal is

RNewal is a tool for tracking nursing licenses, certifications, and continuing education requirements. It helps you see what's due, when, and organizes your work history and career documents.

What RNewal is not

RNewal is not your board of nursing, and it doesn't submit anything to your board on your behalf. Continuing education rules are sourced from boards' published regulations and kept current on a best-effort basis, but boards change their rules, and RNewal can be wrong or out of date. You are solely responsible for confirming your actual licensure and CE requirements directly with your board before relying on them for renewal. RNewal is not a substitute for legal, professional licensing, or compliance advice.

Your account

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials confidential.
  • You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.
  • You must be a licensed or license-eligible healthcare professional, or otherwise have a legitimate reason to track the credentials you enter.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to store or represent credentials that aren't genuinely yours.
  • Attempt to interfere with, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' data.
  • Use the Service in a way that violates any applicable law or a nursing board's own rules.

Your content

You retain ownership of the credential data, documents, and files you upload. You grant RNewal a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to provide the Service to you. See our Privacy Policy for how that data is handled.

Third-party links

RNewal links out to third-party license verification tools, such as Nursys QuickConfirm and state board portals. Those sites are operated independently of RNewal, and we're not responsible for their content, accuracy, or availability.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the continuing-education rules it presents are complete or current. Rules marked as unverified in the app are inferred rather than confirmed directly against a board's published text, and should be checked before you rely on them.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RNewal will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including a missed renewal, licensure lapse, or disciplinary action, even if RNewal has been informed of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms. Material changes will be noted in the app.
